Applesauce w/ Dragon Fruit

This is less of a recipe and more of a reminder that simple ideas can be surprisingly good. A customer once mentioned mixing dragon fruit into applesauce, and after trying it, I had to agree...it works. The flavor is subtle, slightly fruity, and the color transforms plain applesauce into a bold pink treat. It takes about two minutes, two ingredients, and zero effort.

This recipe uses...

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 packet Dragon Fruit Spruits

Bake Mode is Off

Directions

1. Start with Applesauce

Scoop 1 cup of unsweetened applesauce into a bowl. You can use a single-serve cup from the store, portion some from a larger jar, or even use homemade applesauce if you have it.

2. Add the Dragon Fruit

Sprinkle 1 packet of Dragon Fruit Spruits directly over the top. If you’d like, use the back of a spoon to make a small well in the center of the applesauce before adding the powder. It just helps keep everything contained while mixing.

3. Stir Until Fully Combined

Mix thoroughly until the powder is fully incorporated. The applesauce will turn a deep, vibrant pink. Once smooth, it’s ready to eat.
